Dear Parents and Teachers

Donegal Creameries operates an EU School Milk Scheme. Under
the scheme pupils can receive a 189ml carton of milk each day at a
reduced price, making it extremely good value for money. A refreshing carton of my milk can help them meet the Department of Health’s recommendation of 3 portions of milk, cheese or yogurt each day (3-a-Day).

Milk helps maintain strong bones and teeth, a healthy body weight and supplies body building protein, energy and essential vitamins and minerals.

If you would like your school to be part of our school milk scheme , please fill out the entry form or contact us.

School Milk Scheme

Why School Milk?
Milk provides a primary student with over 30% of their daily calcium requirement and a secondary student with 20%. No other drink delivers such a comprehensive nutritional package for strong teeth, essential vitamins and minerals, body building protein and energy at such a low cost!

School milk by its very nature, can also support any schools that promote a low sugar policy for their pupils. It can also help your pupils meet the Department of Health’s recommendation of 3 portions of milk, cheese or yogurt each day (3-a-day)

How Does the Scheme Operate?
Donegal Creameries appreciate the effort required by teachers in adopting the Scheme to their school and will offer support in ensuring that the administration of the Scheme runs smoothly. Donegal Creameries can also supply a fridge courtesy of the National Dairy Council to ensure the freshness and taste of ‘Daisi’ for all your pupils.

Donegal Creameries will supply School Milk fliers that can be given to each child to give to their parents to sign up for the Scheme. (We can arrange to send you enough fliers to give to your pupil’s) You will need to complete the cost of 1 term’s supply (depending on your planned start date, the number of days left in the term times 18cent). You will need to collect the pupil’s money for the term and we can then sign you up for the School Milk Scheme and arrange delivery of your daily requirements.

Donegal Creameries will invoice the school each month based on the number of pupils who participate and the number of days in the term. If you require any further information, please contact us on 074 9149127 or Email info@daisi.ie.

Completing the school milk fliers

The school needs to enter the term cost of the milk on the fliers before they go out to the pupils. The term cost will be the number of days from the start of the milk scheme to the end of the school term multiplied by 18 cents.

When the fliers have been returned to the school by the pupils, please inform Donegal Creameries of the total number of pupils availing of the school milk and your intended starting date. You can do this by phone or simply complete our online form below.
