Donegal Creameries is actively involved in the local community within which it operates. The following are just a selection of our community giving initatives.

ACT (Care of the Terminally Ill) Ltd

Affiliated Care of the Terminally Ill is a Donegal based charity whose aim is to benefit the community through providing support and assistance to the terminally ill young and their families from Donegal, in collaboration with homecare, hospice and local hospital services.

ACT follows on from the Adrian Mitchell Society, operating under the umbrella of Donegal Hospice.

Below are some pictures from a recent Donegal Creameries staff football competition, organised to raise much needed funds for ACT.

 

Health & Well-Being

In conjunction with the National Dairy Council, a Health & Well Being event held recently, to support local local businesses and charity, helped to raise almost €1,000 for Donegal Action for Cancer Care.

 

 

Alzeimers Society of Ireland (Donegal Branch)

The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is the leading dementia specific service provider in Ireland.

The Society was founded in 1982. Today, it is a national voluntary organisation with an extensive national network of branches, regional offices and services that aims to provide people with all forms of dementia, their families and carers with the necessary support to maximise their quality of life.

 

Friends of Letterkenny Hospital

The Friends of Letterkenny General Hospital was founded in in 1992. This voluntary organisation, which was granted charitable status in 1995, has been responsible for raising in excess of €4.3 million from membership fees, donations, church gate collections and various fund-raisng events, which has enabled Hospital Management purchase equipment that , otherwise would not be provided for from the normal Health Budget.
